We thought Nebo would have a good chance at Newbury on Friday because he’d been working well with Red Roman, who had won at Newmarket the previous evening. However, as always with this race, there were lots of fancied horses and the ground was also an unknown. In the end he couldn’t have done it any better, and Callum didn’t really have to get serious with his at any stage.
He’s come out of the race in great form and we’re now aiming at The Coventry Stakes. He’s worked well on fast ground at home, so should be just as happy with it as he was on the softer going at Newbury. He definitely a very exciting prospect.
