Monday and Tuesday’s Runners

We have two runners at Wolverhampton on Monday – Farook and Nayyar. Farook was only just touched off first time out at Chelmsford having made all over seven furlongs. We’re hoping the drop in trip will suit and his work since his run as been good.

Nayyar is a very similar horse to deal with at home to A Momentofmadness, and we’re hoping he enjoys the all weather surface to a similar extent. He’s clearly very quick, as he showed as a two year old.

Tuesday sees the start of the first big meeting of the year – The Craven Meeting at Newmarket, and we have five representatives on the day. Borthwen (by Lawman) and Dawaaleeb (by Invincible Spirit) run in the Wood Ditton. They’ve both been to Lingfield for a racecourse gallop, but it’s very hard to tell what you are up against in these races.

Devil’s Cowboy runs in the two year old maiden. He’s always been very forward physically, and was one of the first two year olds we worked. However he could need the race mentally.

Ghanaati’s third foal Afaak (by Oasis Dream) and Never You Mind go in the seven furlong maiden. Afaak has also been to Lingfield for a racecourse gallop and his work has been good. However may need a run to focus him. Never You Mind is having his third run and will be qualified for a handicap mark after this.
