It’s nearly February already!

Where has the month gone? Although we’ve been fairly quiet on the track it’s been busy at home, and by the end of the week there will be over 150 horses in.

Born Legend was a pleasant surprise last Friday. He’s always been very lazy at home and displayed those traits on the track in his first two starts. However, the blinkers definitely did their job and he was a little bit unlucky not to at least finish second having got quite a hefty bump off the runner up.

This week we start with an unraced filly, Drumochter, making her debut at Kempton on Wednesday. She’s a big filly who has taken time to come to herself. She goes nicely at home but hasn’t done a huge amount so the experience will not be lost on her. Garter was unlucky last week, and tries again at Kempton on Wednesday. She’s a little star and always gives her best, so we’re hoping for a win before she sells at Tattersalls on Friday.

Angel Of Darkness is likely to run at Chelmsford on Thursday. She’s just been flattening out in her races over 7 furlongs so we’re dropping back to 6 furlongs. It shouldn’t be a problem as she always travels well.

Swilly Bay is an unraced son of Mastecraftsman and he has an entry at Kempton on Friday. We’ll work him earlier in the week before we decide if he runs.
