Nebo’s near miss

Although he was beaten, we were very proud of Nebo on Saturday. To be just touched off by the now Guineas favourite is no mean feat, and he proved that his Coventry run was all wrong due to his dreadful draw at Ascot. You probably won’t find a horse who tries harder and he seems pretty versatile regarding the ground and trip. We will be looking at all the options for him starting with the two races at Goodwood. We wouldn’t be afraid to drop him back to six furlongs on soft ground as he travels so well, and that could bring races like the Prix Morny into the equation. If only there were more like him!

Another two year old we were very happy with following the her run on Thursday was Indicia. Paul Hanagan got off and said she was the nicest two year old filly he’d ridden this year, so we hope that’s true! She fluffed the start and had to make up ground so we were delighted she finished second. We will look after her as we think she could potentially be very nice.
