Monday and Tuesday’s Runners

Dawaaleeb kicks our week of when he runs in the first at Wetherby. Judging by his work at home his debut run at Newmarket had the desired effect as he’s much more switched on. He works like he’ll get the trip, but he’s not necessarily bred for it.

We have three runners at Windsor this evening. The first is Rosarno who was last seen winning impressively at Newbury. We’ve been waiting for a bit of ease in the ground for him. His work is not particularly impressive at home, but he gives the impression he only ever does enough. He could be anything and it will be interesting to get him back on the racecourse.

Yard favourite Jalotta has his second run of the season and should strip a lot fitter for his outing at Sandown. He’s got a penalty for his win in France last year which is going to make things difficult. But we know we’ll get a run for our money with him.

Finally Maretimmo runs in the concluding handicap. He’s been given a workable mark, and he is still a big raw horse so there should be plenty of improvement to come.

Tomorrow Spoof is our only runner when he heads up to Beverley. We’re going to put a hood on him to try and stop the antics we saw at Windsor last week. Callum will ride him, and he’s ridden him in plenty of work at home so knows him well. If all goes according to plan he should have a good chance.
