Magical Memory brightens up a damp weekend

It was lovely to see the team of Magic and Frankie back in action and in the winners enclosure on Saturday. While probably not hugely enjoying the soft conditions he coped with them, and following two good runs on that kind of ground we no longer fear it like we once did. The plan is to go onto Deauville for the Prix Maurice de Geest. The trip should really suit him as he travels so well in his races, and although he hasn’t won at Group 1 level he’s been very close in the 2015 Haydock Sprint Cup and the 2016 Diamond Jubilee. The horse is full of confidence at the moment following his two wins, and clearly goes well for an Italian jockey as Andrea Atzeni did the steering at Haydock!!

We’re going to have a very quiet start to the week due to the prevailing soft ground conditions. At present Rhosneigr is our only runner until Thursday, and he will only take his chance at Ffos Las if there is no more rain.
