Let’s hope the successful weekend rolls on into Royal Ascot week

We were delighted with the three winners over the weekend. As well as Battaash’s success The Big Short finally did what we see at home and won a shade cosily at Leicester. Hopefully that will have done his confidence the world of good and he can build on it.

Neshmeya also got a confidence boost when she won her maiden at Salisbury on Sunday. She’s a lovely filly who has just had a few problems, and she should go onto better things.

Today we have two runners at Windsor Expecting and Venutius. Expecting showed a lot of speed on his first run last week so we have dropped him back to five furlongs. However he does have a bad draw to overcome. Venutius will strip a lot fitter than he was for his comeback run, and he’s been going nicely at home. He’s an amazing horse who still has lots of enthusiasm despite his advancing years!
