Battaash and Magical Memory head weekend team

Battaash heads our runners on Saturday when he goes in the Coral Charge. He’s been in good form at home since his last win at Sandown.  He has grown up a great deal since last year and is much easier to deal with now, so we’re looking forward to seeing what he can do. Dane O’Neil knows him well and will ride him again on Saturday. He’s joined at Sandown by Tai Sing Yeah who runs in the opening race. We’re looking forward to running him on fast ground, and he had excuses the last two times.

Magical Memory goes up to Haydock for a conditions race. We are totally in the dark as to what happened at Ascot, as absolutely nothing came to light and he’s been fine since. Hopefully this race will be a confidence boost. If he wins well he could go onto the July Cup next week. Never Surrender also runs at the Lancaster track  – we were happy with his effort at Ascot. Paul Hanagan said he was just a bit difficult to steer etc, so he’ll have a cross noseband on to help Jamie Spencer.

We have three runners at Nottingham in the evening. Anif should have a good chance in the mile handicap, while Dr Goodhead and Marettimo are both sales bound so we’re trying to get a good performance out of them before they head off.
