Activity stepping up

We’ll have a handful of runners this week starting with Dr Bartolo at Newcastle on Wednesday. He steps up in trip as there is plenty of stamina on his dam’s side. He was disappointing at Wolverhampton last time and needs to step up on that. Angel Of Darkness also runs on Wednesday, this time at Kempton. She ran a bit free at Chelmsford and didn’t look to get home so we will try and hold her up this time. The consistent Garter runs at Chelmsford on Thursday. She’s in great form at home and always gives her best, so her owners should get a good run for their money.

Lots of horses are coming back in after their winter breaks. Cotai Glory spent some time at Highclere Stud, his first holiday, and has come back in looking great. Magical Memory had his first canter back yesterday and regular partner Nicola reported him ‘bigger and stronger’ than last year. A number of horses are also due to return from Shadwell Stud this week. Many of the two year olds are being named, and the season is not feeling so far away anymore.
